He represents Sweden at the 67th Eurovision Song Contest this year with the song Tattoo. Lorraine won.
Winning with Euphoria at the Baku 2012 contest, Loreen became the winner of Eurovision 2023 with the song Tattoo with 583 points.
The competition was hosted by England’s Liverpool instead of Ukraine, the winner in 2022, due to the invasion of Russia.
Representing Finland, Kaarija was second with the song Cha Cha Cha, collecting 526 points. The third was Israel with the song Unicorn by Noah Kirel. Italy was fourth in the competition, and Norway was fifth.
Türkiye, which was first in the competition in 2003, has not participated in the competition since 2012.
Speaking to the BBC backstage, Loreen said: “It’s all so surreal. “I’ve had this gig for over six months,” he said.
Sweden will host the competition on the 50th anniversary of the victory of the world-famous music group ABBA at the Eurovision Song Contest.
